Here are just a few of the popular Barefoot Book stories and their related activities for toddler to upper elementary aged children. Fees are additional to initial $85 class fee. Intended for groups of children of five to twenty, with a $2 per child fee thereafter.

Bear Around Town: Draw a map $30 (pre-school ages) 

The Prince's Bedtime: Decorate paper crowns $30

The Boy Who Grew Flowers: Make paper flowers or making small plant pots from newspaper and planting flower seeds. $30 for one activity, $50 for both

My Daddy is a Pretzel: Do a bit of yoga! (includes an abbreviated take home sheet) $40   Please also see the related yoga class option on my Yoga Classes page.

My Granny Went to Market: There is a map activity with this, and for groups I provide one large map to share. Once I find a good copy of a map I can reproduce I will be able to also do this for individual hand-outs. $30

The Great Race - The Story of the Chinese Zodiac: Make Chinese paper lanterns. $30 class fee. Also available is a group activity for assembling a large Chinese dragon. $30 class fee or BOTH for $55

The Secret Seahorse: Collage making from bits and pieces of fabric and findings. $50 Also wonderful with a trip to the ocean collecting gifts from the sea

Herb the Vegetarian Dragon: There are Dragon Flyers to decorate for a $30 class fee, but I also offer a mini vegetarian cooking class with this, which is a lot of fun, for a $100 class fee. At your option, we may include apron decorating as well, for an extra $25

Jack and the Beanstalk: This is usually a seasonal story and activity and includes making small plant pots from newspaper and planting a pea seed in the expanding peat pots. Optional if time allows, decorating the plant pots. (there is also a take home activity sheet with this story that is included) $50

What’s This? A Story of a Seed: This is usually a seasonal story and activity and includes making small plant pots from newspaper and planting a sunflower seed. Optional if time allows, decorating the plant pots. (there is also a take home activity sheet with this story that is included) $50

Something from the Opera Book: Opera masks $30

Something from the Book of Princesses: Princess Hats. $30

Something from the Book of Knights: Shields $30

Something from the Book of Pirates: Pirate Hats of course! $30 class fee. Treasure hunting available for extra $25 fee

Something from Magic Hoofbeats: Decorate paper horses. $40

Fairy Stories: decorate wings. $30

Bug Stories: masks $30 class fee. Also available, outdoor bug exploration $40 class fee or BOTH for $60

Jungle Stories: jungle animal masks $30

Special toddler storytimes: include a nighttime or nap time pajama & lullabies storyhour. The perfect ending to a first birthday party, or a calming afternoon activity for a pre-school or daycare.  Simple story hours are $40. You may choose to purchase a copy of the lullabies cd I use at a reduced rate when you book this event.

Immersion Events: these are given as either two or four hour events. The most popular of these are Celtic, African, and Asian. They include a story or two stories being performed or read, two or four activities, a variety of related foods, and the playing of one or more related music cds. Fees range between $80 and $250

Also available are Readers Circle events. Like a book club (or Storyteller Moon ORBS), without having read the book first! Designed for Picture Book, Blooming, and Young Readers, I read aloud and the participants follow along, or take turns reading, then we discuss the book, and do activities related to the books. Just like the ORBS, books are also purchased through me at a 20% discount.
