As The Barefoot Storyteller, some of the stories that I tell are those that have been passed around for centuries, some are kindled by my surroundings, and multitudes are inspired by books. I carry stories, mostly in my head and often contained in books, along with me wherever I go just in case I see the need for a story...and isn't there always need for story? In the park, at the farmers market, waiting in chairs at the Department of Motor Vehicals....
My "storyteller for hire" fees begin at $30 for a traditional storytelling or book reading, usually followed by a time for drawing.* Upon this site you will also find a list of other craft and learning activity events that can be used to supplement the experiance at a further charge. I strive, and hopefully succeed, to make all of my presentations fun along with educational. *about an hour total.

"The Barefoot Storyteller" was a nick-name I was affectionately given many years ago, long before I discovered the stories published by Barefoot Books, though as of late it seems to be what folks think of first. It is true though that once the first enchanting copies of the publisher's books were placed in my hands, it was obvious that I would develop a passion for using them within my storytelling! When the opportunity to become a representative for the company was made possible, I decided to do just that. I am proud to be a part of bringing Barefoot Books into the lives of the children you love, through my storytelling and beyond. Please feel free to ask me for recommendations...inquire about becoming a representative yourself...but know that I am by no means limited to Barefoot Books publications in my storytelling, as you will see as you explore this site. And as we all learn and grow, there are subjects and stories you may not find here, but go ahead and ask...there's no telling what I may come up with from my bag of tricks!
